Hi guys
I own a 2005 E60 530i. It recently had an oil service at BMW and the brake pads will need to be replaced in about 6 months before the next oil service becomes due.
I want to install the new brake pads myself in a few months time but am not sure if the onboard computer would need to be reset by BMW after my installing the new pads? The onboard computer estimates how much farther the car can be driven before the next brake pad change, based on the brake pad sensor I think?
Assuming the computer does need to be reset, I don't think BMW would be keen to reset it for me if I change the brake pads myself.
