The E34 1995 was 38k about a year ago.

Book values may not be too useful for the cars you've mentioned, as at that age, mileage, condition, service history, etc have more of an impact on the asking price.

Scan Gumtree, Autotrader and 2nd hand dealers to get a better feel for pricing.

Thanks guys , I recently bought a e30 320i and someone rode in front of me , his insurance paid book value of 11000 out . Thats why the question if the same happens again .Now I have e30 325i mechanicals with bad body and 320i nice body now stuffed . Will not pay R35000 for e30 325i with book value of say 15000 .e36 325i rusting around rear window !( old soldier ! )
