bonnet gas lifters

I need to replace either one of the two front bonnet cables on Monday. (R400 per cable from dealers)
The gas lifters are also finished. Do you know if the original bmw lifters can be reinflated like the Gabriel ones? I don't want to replace them if I don't need to.
The dealers are charging R510 per lifter, so that just won't do. Can get new Gabriel ones for about R120 each.
What is the proper psi if it can be inflated.

try bemows in Pretoria- they had new OEM gas lifters for half the price of the dealers.
i also wanted to get my gas lifters re inflated, but turned out to be a wild goose chase, no one wanted to commit or help.
the only other thing i can suggest is maybe try some scrap yards, or import a set.
if the Gabriel ones work, it might also not be a bad idea for that price, but they dont always work 100%

Thanks, I have confirmed that the oem will not be able to re inflate as bmw would like to sell new products to us, which is understandable. I'm sure the gabriel will work, I could not find any lifter in their catalog for bmw, but as soon as the bonnet is open, we can measure it and find the right ones or very close.
Gabriel does not come fully inflated to extend the shelf life and one particular lifter may have many different applications, that is why most shops that supply them can inflate them to the desired psi of the use thereof. I will just get it pumped to 90% of the full capacity, at this level it is almost impossible to compress it by hand. I can't find the specification that bmw oem lifters are inflated to though.

I just walked into Midas with the dud OEM lifter, they matched it to a gabriel (I think) and just clipped the new ones in place.

Please give me the 4 digit code on the lifter. I took it to Part Incorporated Africa and they said that there is no gabriel match for the oem...
It should be something like 4050 or something like that.
