The different provinces has different colours, so obviously you not allowed to use black letters on a GP plate, as regulation says blue.
also the guys making the plates knows what font is legal according to SANS reference.

Look, if you pay these guys to do what you ask them to do, they will do it, cause you the one that's going to get into trouble with the law for displaying an illegal plate.

No listening to guys telling you they've gotten away with it won't help you when you get pulled over, or stopped in a roadblock...so again I say, the law is the law...

Thanks Coisman. I've always wanted concrete proof as to whether these are legal or not, though my concern was mainly on the plastic type plates. If you could (and/or don't mind), please post pics of the legal fonts.

I would have loved to do mine in black font as I want a black & white theme for my E90. Wonder if I could get away with it though? #Wink#

very simple if you want this, you can get temp 'show plates' made and use those on your car for show days, photoshoots etc. and then use your legal normal plates for everyday...

will keep you out of trouble but also, in the theme when needed

Exactly why Thunder - Bruce on the forum makes the BMWFanatics plates for events.
