I like it. Yes the 2002 turbo is the one I would rather have, but I like the aggressive styling.

Does look a bit like Liberty Walk flares though.

I've not been a huge fan of current M car styling, but that really hits the spot for me!! Obviously the classic will remain an icon forever, but the similarities in the new design are stunning!

You will find the biggest obstacle to getting a design like this on the road is not the company, or the accountants, or the marketing people. It's all the safety regulations that are mandatory these days. Specifically those governing pedestrian safety. Just off the bat, that front lip looks like a vicious ankle hazard, and would be the first thing that would have to be changed...
