This is literally the only forum I visit every day, with the club we founded (like most others) now on Whatsapp and Facebook with an instagram account for pictures instead. Most other forums are dead, filled with trolls, advertisers or bots... Even this forum has been impacted to a degree, but it is still 2-3 pages worth of updates when I log in (as opposed to 12+ in years gone by).
The knowledge contained on this forum is great and whenever I've met up with people whether selling items or at an event I have never had a bad experience. Will there be keyboard ninjas, disagreements and misinterpretations? Of course... but that is the entire online world... try going to some parenting forums and look at real vitriol and idiocy - makes car communities seem mild by comparison :roflol:
Though it may seem bad to some (and some of it is), look at some of the utterly broken, extremely toxic Subaru and Nissan communities in SA and it seems like paradise by comparison.
Everywhere has its challenges but like everything in life, you manage what you can of the bad (or stay out of what isn't your business), take the good and move forward.
