Even in my 130 i get these looks all the time from people that hate me just because of the car i drive. for some reason if your young and you drive a bmw people think your just a spoilt brat, which i am not......

So true dude....and they don't realise your car prob costs even less than theirs...(if you getting 2nd hand)

You will sit in the Golf or Gti or whatever and a 135 will pass you or just be next to you and you will wish you were in the beemer...now that is the deciding factor...will you wish you were in the other? This has nothing to do with how capable a GTi or another golf derivative is...they good cars but i am not sure if they share the same desireability as a 135...

Both sweet cabs. i prefer the looks of the golf R to the 135i but after that bmw beats it in any other category. I understand what you saying about people but believe me if you base your decision on what people think you gonna make the wrong decision and end up not as happy as you could of been or costing yourself more money, been there done that, made the mistake, and now i dont care what people think, if thats what i want i go get it.

Wise words from a very good friend of mine ... " If you want something go big never settle for 2nd best". Bugger what any one else thinks, if you get the evil eye from people that means they did'nt do as well in life as you have and that is not your problem.

Its not wise to put set yourself back to please others. If you had enough to buy a Lambo and it could make it up the driveway id say buy it!!!!

I remember buying my last S3, and then driving my friend's 135i the same day I got my S3. All I could think and talk about thereafter was the 135i. It was a long 2 year wait thereafter, but I now have the 135i and I couldn't be happier.

As nice as the R is, If you have test driven both cars there can only be one choice in my opinion :)

Golf R= Service Plan. Any BMW=Full maintenance plan. Performance car=driven hard=needs maintenance. Do the math

I'd get a Golf 6 GTI , screw the R , its just a modded example , but at the end of the day , you going to be driving the car , so its up to you
