BMW Z4M Dyno

Hi All

I am looking at buying this particular Z4M from a dealer in JHB.

The car has 70k km on the clock, but has only done 10k km in the last 4 years as the previous owner only used the car on weekends i assume. Looked at the last service in 2010 and it was on 60k km.

The car has just gone for a service and will have 4 new tyres put on the vehicle.

The car has 2 comments on the vehicle (133k and 98k) in 2008 and 2010.

Is the car worth 205k or should I wait? I am looking to keep the vehicle indefinitely as a weekend bruiser.

Attached is the dyno I did of the car today to see if the engine is in the general ball park for a healthy example.

What are your thoughts on this car and should I take the plunge?

The black one at Ziddo?

I test drove it a few weeks back and wasn't impressed... The car has had a tough life imho. Front bumper has been off and there's some funky clearcoat issues on the bonnet. I walked away from it fwiw.

Power seems good tho?....not sure what would impress you,your driving E63 after all...

As for the rest, I hate that clearcoat issues, peeling etc...based on that I'd take your advice and walk

Based on the dyno graph and those numbers for an S54 at KAR the engine is pretty healthy actually very healthy in terms of power and torque!:coolShake: Most stock S54's average around 175-185wkw on KAR's dyno.

I drove it the other day. I've had z4 m before. Was on par with a healthy one. I opted out of it due to the lasts service been done in 2011

Yes it is the one from Zido.

I think the car has had a bit of a hard life but what I was looking at was the fundamentals like gearbox, engine etc.

Body panels all align and no creaking noises but the bonnet has got a bit of orange peel on the very front - not in-your-face noticeable.

Given that the Mcoupe's are now at least 6+ years old will I get a uber mint example for 200k (my budget)?

Check on autotrader. Seems like a mint blue one for R199k. Looks like genuine mileage as well.

Power is healthy and the graph is smooth which is always a good sign.
I have not seen the car though
