BMW Z4M Bearings

Hi All

So I've had the car for the last 2 years and put on about 20k km on the car, been nursing it due to the fact that I didn't know how the car was treated before me.

This past week I got the bearings sorted at Savspeed. Firstly I'd like to rave about Sav and his passion for BMW and the work he does, it was great working with him.

He did the bearings and gave the car a once over, as another BMW specialist I normally go too mentioned the Guibo is finished, but when he checked all was good.

Pics of the bearings:

Car is running super smooth and I reset the fuel consumption to test my usual round trip, about 100km total, and the car is now averaging about 0.5l+ lighter on the same trip. Only thing I noticed is that when idling now is that the fuel consumption gauge goes ticking up to 40l/100km when reset to zero? And that the car idles at over 1k rpm for bit then settles after about 10seconds.

I recommended giving Savspeed a call as their service, price and knowledge are all on point.

Probably one of the better looking bearings as far as the M coupe goes. Well done in changing them for peace of mind.

Try cleaning out your Idle control valve to rectify the idling issue. Once its removed Just take carb cleaner to it liberally :)

Sad news, time has come to sell the Z.
I have an investment opportunity that I want to persue and first thing that will have to go is the second car.
Wants to put up a For Sale thread but dont have access for some reason. Going to miss this car
