BMW X5 M - Info

Hi guys

I've been looking at getting a BMW XDrive40d... Love the power and great consumption.

The BMW X5M has now caught my eye. What is the real world consumption like (l/100km). I'm not too stressed about fuel as I would use it once or twice a week (weekend car).

Just would like to have a real world feel. Haven't driven one yet though.

Iv got the 50i (petrol) same motor as the M but obviously not the same power, fuel consumption is not great around town but freeway driving is pretty decent...
If you drive the car fairly hard expect to only get about 350-400ks on a tank!

A friend of my dad has a E70 X5 V8 4.8L 355bhp. He does mostly town driving. The consumption sits around 17.5L/100km.

My guess would be 21 liters per 100km.

X5M owners can chime in....

In town about 8.5 km/l and open road 11km/l at 130 gps this is for the 3.0d 6 speed, the 4.0d 8 speed should do better, the 5.0d open road they claim 7.5 l/100 km

X5M consumption is very bad. Over 20l/100km when you floor it often.
