Thank you guys, it was quite hectic but with me working the interior and Rick on the leather we worked quite quickly.

Good grief! That's amazing results! Crazy that interiors can get like this. Okay, a cream/tan or light interior is bound to show up dirt and muck compared to a darker or black interior, but this looked bad. Really impressive work guys!!! :thumbs:

BMW X5 3.0D Project | Making the wheels go round

This morning, with much excitement I went through to WheelWorx to collect the freshly refurbished mag wheels for the X5.

I absolutely love the new finish! The wheels lined up back at home.

Couldnt resist quickly lining them up, should be quite tasty. :thumbs:

Since the mag wheels were not going on the car until the exterior respray I decided to prep them before storing them in the garage. I did this by giving them each a thorough clean:

Once dried I applied two even layers of Rim Wax to increase the gloss and metallic flake as well as protect the new finish.

The results were excellent, some lovely gloss and reflections as well as a stunning flake popping through the finish.

Coming up | This Week

Tomorrow the X5 is going for an exterior respray due to the heavy amount of RDS and clear coat failures all over the car.

We will then finish off with smaller details before finishing off with a Definitive Detail.

i pulled around there today after work because it was on the way, but there was only a toyota in the shop and not you haha. the owner and i think manager did come out to look when i turned around as they pobably heard my car:rollsmile:

Nah, the respray will be done at another panelshop the owner has an agreement with. :thumbs:

You must lemme know when you pulling through - I am not always there and at the moment my bakkie is out of action so not going too well that.

They were rather busy today, did you spot the Hamann's bumper by any chance? Not sure if they finished spraying that today.

ag its no biggy, i went to midas and TV is on my way home. no sorry only peeked into the window and everyone was staring at my E30 (as people tend to do:rollsmile so i felt too self concious to stop and get out haha.

Thanks, I noticed your car next to Volvo a few weeks back already so assumed you worked close by.

Bakkie was flatbedded to Ford today for new Rad, thermostat, thermostat housing and a full service... It dropped its coolant in the car park of DM on Saturday. :fencelook:
