Wonder if someone can help. What would it take to retrofit front pdc sensors to the X1. Is there someone that has done something similar.

If I go for an aftermarket option, would it be a problem with regards to the motor plan?

I read up a little on this previously for my E90, requires the car to be reprogrammed, etc. etc. Plus the BMW database to be updated for the modification (good luck with that). Not having the BMW database updated could very well have the dealer view it as a modified vehicle, which could then void the motor plan. Essentially not worth it as it may raise questions at resale, which from a buyer point of view could be red flags and ignore the vehicle unless the price is super attractively low (not ideal for a seller as you might imagine).

Hi bud,

Unless the fitment is done via BMW (if they even offer this), your motorplan will be void. May be something you will have to live without until plan is over or you change cars unfortunately.
