im guessing it has to do with weight or airflow over the boot...

The longer arms adds leverage maybe?

that would be unnecessary because more leverage can be gaind with increased wing angles.otherwise F1 would have come up with something similar along time ago.just my 2c

i think F1 has a maximum length rule so it might mean they would have to run a shorter front wing to get the rear wing out more...

i dont think they can shorten the whole front end because moving the front wheels back would mess up weight distribution...

:ty: - I think the wing has Hydraulic adjusters inside the Boot that pulls it forward or back and to adjust angle on the run, read something about it a while back.

Bigger wings and a sharper angle would increase downforce, but it would also increase drag. Placing the wing on longer arms will add leverage without adding drag.

I'm no expert and maybe there is a more important reason for it, but I think it makes sens. :)

Well I really hope they will be showing the DTM on DSTV, at the moment they are only showing the old races (2007 or something) on ESPN classic :(
