Can anyone recommend a BMW sepcialist in the Strand, Somerset West, Stellenbosch area? I am getting quick a few P codes, some refering cylinders being retarted and Lamba voltage issues. Car goes into limp mode randomly and sometimes cuts out, need someone with proper expertise and equipment to diagnose it for me, hopefully at a resonable price :)

Thanks.

We've dealt with Danie Winterbach form Stellenbosch - not sure what his technology level is but try - 021 886 4047. Also Johan Behm Motors - Stellenbosch.

Someset West is a bit far from Menlyn Boeta.

Hey Rambam, I'm also in Stellenbosch and could also use a recommendation. Please drop me a msg if you find someone. Much appreciated :)

@ Frikkieh, I know Menlyn is very far away but was aiming at Novia. Maybe keep his number anyway if you ever come up this way and need it.

Spoke to Jaques from Fastserv Auto. Seems like quite a pleasant chap and the basic oil service is gonna cost 900 bucks. All in all, a good deal if you ask me.

Thanks again peeps!

If its just a basic oil service then call bmw. They are going to do my car, E46 325i, they are charging me R960 for the oil, filter and labour, so thats really not bad for the dealers.

Well, BMW wanted 1000 for the basic oil service and 4.5k - 5k for the full service....lol. So the basic oil service is slightly cheaper than BMW but hey, its still cheaper.

I'll change my own spark plugs.....and that would be the service.

I also just want Jaques to have a look at a few other things and quote me before I give the full go ahead. Will keep you guys updated on it.

The quote I got was at Leo Haese in Hatfield, it was a week ago, my car reads -50 till service cause I aint got the time to take her, but I can go over 1000km over the service interval, so I'm still good.
The price is for the oil, filter, and labour, and my car takes almost 7 liters oil, so I don't think thats a bad price at all.

Novio, Jacques is a good guy, JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET ANY WARRENTIES IN WRITING!!! 2 weeks ago they did my tappet cover gasket set, and my PCV valve, all parts for R840, and 2 1/2 hours labour for the job.
