BMW SA's finding on a brand new M135i

This is the feedback from BMW SA....


We hereby like to confirm that after two of our Regional Technical managers inspected your vehicle we can confirm that the vehicle conforms to BMW standards. Any required adjustments can be carried out under the Motorplan undertaking.

Defects
1. Left headlight misty
2. Clutch pedal higher then the other two pedals,
3. Front bumper, bonnet and left headlight not 100% aligned
4. Wind noise from drivers window
5. Sport mode doesn't display on iDrive
6. No M Footrest
7. BMW Performance doesn't display
8. Right gutter moulding spacing
9. Rain channels loose
10.Rear bumper alignment
11. Rear boot lid alignment / need to be banged shut.
12. Paint work not 100% perfect match
- Drivers door
- Passenger door
- Boot lid
- petrol cap
- Shark fin
- Rear bumper
And a few more....

A friend saw the car today and noticed the paint work too :argh:

They want to fix it under motorplan....

This is BMW's new standards :thumbs:

That one Snr guy kept saying the paint was fine while the other's could see it wasn't matching.

I need some backup the paint is not a 100% match and is a big no no.

And on a white car can be seen by the naked eye....

The only way i see that then paint does not match is if the car was reaprayed after build.

Take it to a professional panel beater and get an asseament and then nail tjem for mot disclosing.

Maybe take it to the AA for an inspection. They usually can pick up if the car was repaired from accident damage and will give a report stating the fact.

The car wasn't resprayed... They tested the paint density...

What must of happened at the assembly line... the doors etc get removed and put back on so they most likely put the wrong ones on...

If you look at the car at angles this is what you see...
Fender and rear panel a brighter white then the door.

Is this not grounds for a refund ? "Any required adjustments can be carried out under the Motorplan undertaking"

they know there are issues... BUT IT IS BMW STANDARDS

Since they want to partake this work under motorplan ,wouldnt this mean your car would have a bucketload of comments on it when you decide to sell it and ul loose value on it?

Absolutely shocking...i just cant fathom bmws response. Those are repairs to a brand new car? No ways. Let them take their crap car back. They have just justified all those that mod their cars under MP. Damn.

I am starting to believe that the best thing about bmw is this fanatics forum. I have never before dealt with such an incompetent / apathetic organization such as bmw in my life. This thread is just another example of their disappointing attitude.

:thumbdo: bad stuff man, but you got a raw deal, it happens in other brands also, you where unlucky you got a lemon - but the response from them is appalling.
inform them you will be posting world wide on the net, make a big deal about it.
