BMW refuses to replace clutch under motorplan

Hi guys,
on my e90 320i, under mp, the clutch was burnt 1900kms ago and was replaced. Now it has burnt again but BMW refuses to replace it telling me that I abused the clutch. The same driver has been driving this car for 10000+ km , so it cannot be my driving style.
Any one experience something similar?

had a client who blew the motor in his E250 early January, Mercedes benz refused to replace the motor and blamed the guys who the cars serviced the car, who in turn refused to carry costs of a new motor. The guy was without his car for 6 months, came to me in July, two phone calls and a letter later and his car got a brand new motor fitted. Moral of the story, don't jus leave it there.:cartel:

No man I popped 5 clutches on my 2 E90s in total all replaced every 20k odd kms. That is generally how long a manual BMW clutch will last you in traffic especially the poorly made ones found in the E90 unfortunately. It can't stand traffic it shudders overheats and then warps the flywheel and boom clutch gone.. As said don't leave it there under maintenance plan they must replace it.

It probably popped so quickly because they needed to replace the flywheel too and hadn't thus it broke again..

Another argument you can investigate.

Check who did the job previously on the clutch, get the invoice or jobcard, if under plan they must provide.

Find out if the previous replacement included a flywheel, if it did not, you can argue that because there was no new flywheel install, the friction surfaces did not mate properly.

WHy did it last so long, because you drive like a granny. with a 320i, they will believe you.

Your other alternative, is to physically go take a look at the clutch and flywheel, take pictures,

If there was chunks out of the clutch and the flywheel was burnt blue, thats abuse.

Further, a last trick, maybe you have one of those fancy sky track thingies, they include aggressive acceleration, harsh breaking, over revving ect. If you can pull one of those type reports if you have it, your argument is won.

A clutch should not last 10,000km, unless you track the thing or cant drive, end of story.

The clutch lasted 1900 km!!
According to BMW the flywheel was replaced 1900km ago with the old clutch
I scheduled a meeting with them , so I can look at the clutch plate in person. This is ridiculous since the car was driven under 60km/h since the new clutch + flywheel was installed. I blame whoever fitted the clutch.

Of all my dealings with car companies, the worst and most emotional experience was with BMWSA. My motorplan was suspended due to the car being fitted with a parot bluetooth kit, which was in the car when I bought it from a bmw dealership. Was a nightmare to get it reinstated after I had to send many strong worded emails to the then CEO. I doubt I will ever buy a bmw again. Well not one on plan atleast.

I don't buy BMW's that are on plan anymore. I make sure I inspect an out of plan car myself before I buy

Sounds to me as if either something went wrong with the automatic adjustment on the pressure plate or the tech did not install it properly. I fitted a clutch to a e90 320i about a year ago and it was quite tricky - I had to turn a special short clutch centring tool to fit behind the locking plate but it was perfect afterwards and the owner chose not to spring the extra money for the DMF. Touch wood 13,000kms later its still as smooth as silk.

Are the F30 manual box clutches lasting any longer?
