BMW R1200GS - Anyone here ride these bikes??

I'll make sure she get's a proper ride, and I'll test all the curves and buttons. :boink:

In all seriousness my uncle and cousin have been ridding on GS's since they first come out. They have both had 3 each and swear by the 1200's and won't go back to the 800's.
Unfortunately I won't be able to help you out with the inspection but I might be able to pass on some info. Apparently services and part replacements like brakes through BMW are very expensive. Have you done some pricing in this regard?
They don't take their bikes to BMW anymore because they say it isn't worth it, and they have found a mechanic who does wonders on these. So feel free to let me know if you want the guys details when it comes time to service the bike if you land up getting it.
