BMW Poetry

Hi Guys,

This might sound crazy but I actually wrote a poem to describe driving a BMW for the 1st time when I was 17 (long long ago)

Hope its not too lame but I am sure you will all get the message.

"The Sum of its parts"

It is not the unique smell from the plastic dashboard invading your senses like a masculine after shave,
Nor is it the curve in the dashboard that leans towards the driver for perfect ergonomics,

It is not the four rounded headlamps staring at you with encouragement to hooliganism,
Nor is it the smile they emit as they light up,

It is not the almost perfectly rounded instrumentation cluster,
Nor the little econometer needle that jumps around as u hit the loud pedal,

It is not the perfectly precise close ratio gear shift,
Nor the meaty clutch that is associated with it,

It is not the huge accelerator pedal that would dwarf a size 4 female shoe,
Nor is the responsiveness when hitting the pedal hard,

It is not the melodic sound resonating from the exhaust,
Nor is it the silky smooth engine sound protruding from the engine bay,

It is not the perfect ride or solid planted feel on the open road,
Nor is it the rear sliding almost drift dynamic handling,

It is not the emotions it stirs in one's heart as you fire up the engine,
Nor is the excitement it creates that is usually felt only by teenagers,

It is greater than the sum of its parts and the emotions it creates as only a BMW E30 325i/325is can.
