Roughly R22 000 excluding labour. This conversion includes a bigger Fan & Radiator; reworked airducts/scoops and a chip (tune). I initially thought they would chuck in a bigger oil cooler but not the case. The cooling gains aparently is great and most users are happy with the slight increase in boost.

If I am not mistaken this upgrade ups the performance of the 35i engine to the 35is level, not sure if this can or is done on other engines though.

I have to agree, expensive and gains are far too low. All the parts are for cooling and slight tune thats it.

Last night on RPM they had a 135i N55 with the new performance kit.
The kit has a larger fan, diff radiator, performance exhaust & I think software.
It costs ± R45 000
For a slight boost in power 240kw - 450nm
I think its over priced but hey you'll have no M/P issues!

The extra R25 000 is for the exhaust. The performance kit does not include the exhaust.
I agree the bump in power is minimal but the coolling gains must be great for a car that is prone to heatsoak...secondly the exhaust is overpriced but it sounds fantastic...i love it

Thanks for the feedback guys.
Not really worth it in the end hey?

From a motorplan perspective this would be the only way to go without having issues with sending the car in vs a a/m tune.

im gonna take it even if its not worth the gains .. i just want the extra cooling so that they have more potential to play around with when doing the software upgrade through someone else... im not even interested in the extra 15kw of bmw's software coz its so little .. but it will be a bonus in the meantime ..

Go for it, I have yet to hear from those that have done the conversion, that they are not satisfied with the power ....

Another option is to run a "piggyback" on top of the BMW chip...

.....the piggy will recognise the BMW chip/boost target and increase it from there depending on your map selection. Not sure if this "piggybacking" can be done by a flash tune. If so, then your options are wide open.
