A fuck1ng retard bumped my passenger door in his truck 2 weeks ago and my car went in for repairs last Tuesday. I've just been informed that it'll be a while before I get it back due to the part coming from Germany.

How long does it usually take for a part to arrive in SA? I can't stand this POS Toyota Corolla I'm driving :argh:

When I checked for a water hose at a Dealership I was told that it would take 6 -8 weeks if the part were to be brought in from Germany.

On a side note:

Is your car on finance (with BMW) / Are you insured ..... you may be able to argue that since your car is not with you and is in fact with a repairer approved by the insurance / BMW and that the delay is not yours so they (not sure whether BMW / Insurer) should pay for the monthly premium.

My dad did this with our Toyota Avanza. The Diff broke after 3 weeks and it was gonna take up to 6 weeks for the repair. so we argued that toyota should pay the car premiums, which they did.

I know that this wont help your wait, but if you do actually have to wait, you might as well make sure that youre not paying for something thats out of your control.

Thanks XMAX. Turns out the repairer is slacking as BMW have 21 doors in stock. I'm on the verge of ordering the door myself.
