Hey man,

Some dealerships allow you to request it but some are strict on owner/customer privacy and need them to request it. Keep calling until you get lucky (JHB dealerships are quite chilled compared to Dbn dealerships from experience).

Thanks so much aksamg , I need to see the service history of my aunts car 2001 325ti, Im doing some work on it and everything on it , is still original , the air filter , cabin filter , spark plugs , fuel filter , everything is still the original parts that the car had when it left the factory when she purchased it new . She used to service it when ever it needed a service while the car was under motorplan , and then a few times at another BMW specialist .
I cant understand how this car still has all its original parts on there . Its shocking .

Im surprised that the car still ran with these parts haha

how certain are you that it is still the same ? It went to BMW and they use the Original product . Give them the keys ask for a quote for a service together with the service history, they do print it out for you, together with comments if there are any, it does not show any detail of the previous owner so it wont be a problem giving it to you.

The parts that I have taken off the car are all marked 2001 as its date of manufacture , the Air filter is marked 20/09/01 , the cars production date is

Prod. Date 2001-10-16 .. It was under motorplan for at least 5 years and im sure i heard my aunt say that she extended it for another two there must have been at least one air filter change in that time .

Yup im booking it in for its airbag replacement , brake fluid flush and an oil service . Will ask them to give me some details .

Im sure that microfilter is also original ,All the ones on my E46 never looked like that before BMW replaced them. I used to open the thing up and clean up the leaves often. Her car has been garaged all its life.

Heres the pictures of the filter , I showed the filter to some of the guys at SMG and they were shocked themselves. Hopefully thats not the correct date on the filter lol , but it dosnt matter much now . I replaced it with a nice clean new filter haha.

I would never trust BMW service history. If you see who works in those workshops (very few true specialists) or what goes on (like the OP experienced).... You wont care about it. Find a good independent specialist... Buy the spares yourself.
