Bmw Mechanical insurance

i know these was discussed in the past but can't find it with the search function. :fencelook:

i want some insurance on my drivetrain , engine , diff etc etc. any advice please. like kind of a basic motorplan for when something broke.

AFAIK there isnt a single mechanical insurance company BMW deals with. I'm with SA Warranties and when it comes to claims, I have to deal directly with them and not BMW fft:

They got different packages for cars that are under 5 years, 8 years and anything above 8 years which I fall under. In terms of service it all depends which consultant you deal with. From personal experience when it comes to claims the girls are helpfull & the guys are anal :cursin: they will make every excuse not to pay.

So far they paid for my power steering pump, but not ball joints & bushes although its listed under their policy (I blame BMW for failing to contact them before doing the job) At present I got a problem with my control arms, will see if they cover me for that.
