Since I've fitted the 18s, I've got my original Individual 17s lying in the garage and want to do a makeover. While they have no major damage, they do have a bit of kerb rash and some deep scratches. I know I can probably get it done at any mag repair place (and it MIGHT even be cheaper), but I would like to do the DIY route. The rims are also quite dull, as the previous owner probably used very acidic stuff on them and the layer of gloss is now almost completely gone.
Can anyone advise me where to get the closest possible colour spray paint to the BMW OEM colour. Last time I went to Autostyle (when I did my Honda wheels :mmm: ), there were 200 different variations of silver, but it was a Honda 14" mag, and I did not care to get it right .... and after a layer of clear coat, not many people even noticed the difference from the original colour.
Builders warehouse also stocks lots of spray paint, but I'm not sure what colour to buy. So any advise on what is the correct colour to buy and where I can get it from.
NB: Yes, my wheels are the original Individual 17" ones and no I'm not selling them :nono:
