I have a BMW m5 e39, decat and chipped. Awesome power. However the one thing I have noticed that when I have my sunroof and windows open I got an exhaust fumes smell in the car. I was looking on the internet for clues, even took the car to have the exhaust check for leaks but no luck. I got some useful info from the bmw m5 board. If you have the same problem, check your trunk vent on the righthand side just blow the fuses and pdc box. Mine was in the wrong way... The rubber flaps should not be on the inside of the trunk but on the outside... Another guy's vent was missing and he had a big hole next to the exhaust, which caused the fumes to enter the car and circulate through the cabin. I have changed mine around and it is all gone and I can open my windows / sunroof and enjoy!!! So happy it is sorted! :=):
