Clutch, what did the guy say?

he's keen, he says the engine is still running really really smooth, car looks to be in a good condition, gonna speak to him again a bit later ... then will let u know what he says

:D

Hi Guy,

Don't want to put you off but as a fellow fanatic I just want give you some history.

That was once my car:bawling: that I sold +- 4years ago to Kosie Weyers whose father owns Lansdowne Towing. It is my understanding that he used it for drifting.

At the time the car needed a rear suspension overall, including some extreamly expensive shocks:dropjaw:, The gears would grind when changing from 2nd to 3rd at high revs & the ABS unit was faulty. When I looked at the cost of restoring her & my families needs I had to let her go.

I'm not saying that it was not sorted. From what I can tell from the pic's the rear suspension no longer sags & the car has had a blow over.

They are beautfull cars & I miss it everyday, but R75k should buy you a minter.

On the plus side when I sold her she had 198Km on the clock & I'm sure Koosie did use it for long trips. When she left my hands the motor was 100%

Ask him to send you the VIN number & I'll check it against the invoice I still have on file.

If you do buy her let me know if you will attend the next breakfast run so that I can see her in the flesh again.

To be honest I think this might be a better option.

Its a Muslim gentleman selling it.

I've seen kosie's one, and that thing was screwed inside and out.

This one seems to be too clean on the inside and out. Regardless of blow over and all.

But yeah, Clutchy, get that Vin number and make sure, cos Kosie pulled that thing through its arse... plenty of times.

wow, ! ok some real info to work with here .. thanks guys ! epic !

I will get the vin from the guy, I was prolly gonna drive or fly down to capetown next week or the week after to go look at the car, but I will get that vin number first and lets check it out .. NOT going to buy it if it was abused, I want an E34 M5 in a GOOD condition that I can keep forever. no use in buying scrap. and it has to be original, 100% ..

so yeah, lets see what happens. I thought it was a good deal, but if it was a drift car .... not cool.

Thanks again boys !

They fanatastic cars last of the hand made M's, & I believe only 262 made in SA.
