Wonder what Weistec stuff was done on that 63?
That RS7 comes back strong on top my word!
Also wonder what stage 2 is on the M4. Seems like Jb4 + full exhaust (inc dp)
Could have PURE turbos. Doing 11.8 sec 1/4 on street tyres. Get that 60ft down to 1.7/8 with some slicks and it will destroy both those cars.
Johnny135i said:Yes Devon, I agree, but then if the Amg and RS also fit slicks the bimmer is stuffed again:roflol:
No replacement for displacement:cartel:
Ja nie.Magneto said:weight maybe? RWD vs AWD maybe? BMW vs Audi maybe?

RS7 : 2 tonnes, M4 : 1.8 tonnes. Not enough of a difference.
AWD > 2WD in a drag race
Chavoos said:I never understand stage 1/2/3 on cars because it often means different things to different people. However that M4 is amazing , clocking 258km/h over 1km with 550hp , so it probably has Pure turbos.

That M4 is quick but 1km speed @ 255/258 is down for 550hp ..
I trapped 251 with my stock M3 recently - 450hp ..
(pls don't ask howd I get that xtra hp )

That is a dud 63!
Yeha. I have no idea where I got that figure from. I just took the first thing that came up in google, and I can't seem to find it now.Magneto said:The M4 is nowhere near 1.8. Closer to 1.5. Where did you get your figures from?
This is what doesn't make sense to me. Surely, SURELY, if 1 vehicle demonstrates a massive lead in the beginning, that advantage should carry over to the middle and latter part of a drag race. Why would the Audi, which can put down power very easily in the beginning, not be able to CONTINUE putting down power? What changed?Magneto said:AWD > 2WD in drag race yes, which showed in the beginning, but the M4 was stronger in the middle bit and caught up. AWD is heavy and struggles to put all the power down as the speeds increase. The M4 did lose a bit of steam at the end though.
Bud, we are not comparing German to Chinese here. We are comparing German to German. You cannot tell me that you feel that Audi engineering is in any meaningful way inferior to BMW. Also saying "it must be the engineering" is tantamount to saying "I have no idea, must be witchcraft!"Magneto said:You forgot one of the points I made earlier, that is its BMW engineering vs Audi.
I am not bashing BMW, I am bashing this particular race and the information given. Even if the Audi is 1/4 heavier than the Beemer, the Audi has 30% more power. And lets not even mention the Mercedes.Magneto said:Sorry, just checking that I am in the right forum. :YesNo:

No worries budMagneto said:Sorry I got confused trying to deal with all the quotes in my reply, so this is a reply to all your points :roflol:
Not disputing this, at all.Magneto said:BMW has always put the power down better than Audi.
Not disputing this either, but a drag race is not going to be influenced by handling, otherwise you could beat a top fuel dragster with a Miata.Magneto said:BMW handling is also far superior to Audi's. Driver feedback - the M has always been considered a sharp weapon and the Audi a blunt instrument.
Not at all! I have no idea if its intentional rigging, or if the Audi missed a shift, or if the BMW has undisclosed mods or if the Audi is talking crap about his mods.Magneto said:So what you are saying is these races were rigged to make BMW look good?

All I'm saying is that the numbers and physics don't make sense to me.
BMW: 500hp / 1.5t = 333 hp/t
Audi: 750hp / 2t = 375 hp/t
