Hi All,

This is my first time posting, but I've been trawling the site for a couple of years now. I've owned my fair share of BMW's and I have a particular love for Z3M Coupes.

I have the opportunity to get into CSL ownership. I was wondering if anyone knows a bit of detail on number 30 of 65? BMW refuses to give me details on the car (or any car for that matter) due to privacy rules...

Anyhow I figured that there might be someone out there who might have some details or just general advice on what to look out for...

the present owner should be able to get you the history, but after motorplan it might not have seen the inside of a BMW workshop again and anything could have happened.

If its black it's my old colleague that just bought the car. He also recently bought that silver z3m coupe Schnitzer.

There's one on olx/gumtree/autotrader, cant remember which, for R600k. 1/65. Anyone want to buy a kidney? One careful owner, reasonable mileage, only been run on Red Heart Rum. Sometimes even neat straight red heart... Excellent condition.

Apparently No.1 was tracked a lot and was owned by SpeednSound magazine (or something like that - can't recall exactly) owner.. It's apparantly not a good example as it's been in a few accidents that wasn't repaired properly. I know this because a dealer friend of mine was wanting it as well a few years ago and declined to buy it because of its history..

This car was for sale about a year ago for R350k - so R600k is ambitious..

If memory serves, 1/65 supposedly has a somewhat shady past regarding track time, press reviews, and an incident involving Pilot Sport Cup tyres and a rainy N1 highway back in 2007 or thereabouts.

And correct... Loco is black and got its arse pushed through a fence during an SnS lap times feature on the old Wesbank track without all the necessary insurance paperwork being watertight, which necessitated the SnS crowd purchasing it... don't recall the serial number though.
