Hi Guys

I am not sure if you this is a re-post.

A stock BMW M135i with a “regular” driver ran Nürburgring Nordschleife in 8:05 minutes, same time as the E92 M3 and faster than the 1M Coupe. At 8:05, the M135i is faster than the Z4 M Coupe, E60 M5, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and Porsche Cayman S.

The M135i was stock with Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires and a 6-speed manual transmission.

Its not correct. 8:05 is just bridge to gantry to need to add about 20 to 25 secs to actually compare to a full lap.

3 seconds slower around a track that takes over 8 minutes to lap. Thats not worth the extra dosh to fork out for a 1M.Not in a million years.

BMW marketing division want to sell many M135. Deon Joubert tested both cars around Killarney where the 1M posted a time of 1:24,81 and the M135 1:27,87. There you are looking at already over 3 seconds on a short race track (check out January Car magazine). Drive both cars then you will know what a real M car feels. Now that's why it's worth the extra dosh.

There is just something about a real sports car that the numbers doesn't tell you.
I believe that if you drive a real M car it will just be so much more fun. I've never even been a passenger in one, so I can't speak from experience.

A friend of mine bought a GT86, and I didn't expect to be wowed by the car. I was pleasantly surprised. It just feels more fun! The sound, the stiff suspension, all of that.

I can only imagine how much fun a 1M must be around a track.

Actually the M135i and the 1M doesn't have that big of a price difference. The real difference is that the 1M is very limited production and its actually a real ///M car. Well that and it looks way better than the hatch :inlove:

Yeah if you tick all the options boxes on the spec list, the M135i price does rocket up quite a bit, pushing the price closer to a 1M. Also looks wise it is no comparision, as the 1M is pure ///M beast, and the M135i, is just a sport pack 1series hatch. If anyone watches F1, you'll know 3seconds over a lap is the difference between being at the front end of the grid or towards the back of the pack.

Some people smoking/drinking some good sh*t over the festive season to think a M135i is quicker than an E92 M3 or 1M around the RING...............:roflol:
