BMW M1 successor to be called the M8

Bmw is designing their first supercar which will be launched in 2016. Designed to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary but will be called the M8 instead of the iconic M1 name. Performance specs are a mystery but the M8 would produce 600hp (447kw).

What do you guys think about it? :thumbs:

I can't believe people are falling for that old fake pic! Those wheels are Mazda wheels by the way!

I have the original pics it was photoshopped from as well - the hangar had a Ford GT standing in it!

Let us rather wait for BMW to announce their plans rather than all of these crazy ideas! And, the fact that an M8 would mean that the 8 series has to be revived first!

The 8 series and M1 had nothing in common - except for pop up lights!
