Any excuse hey :)

Buy yourself a daily and build the e30 into a track car.

Thanks Shiraz for a fantastic day. Sorry I could not get the MLE there today, will make sure she is back next year. To all you dogs I already know, was great seeing you all again, and equally great meeting some new members. Roll on 2013!

So as usual I got some nice sunburn. I packed some sunscreen, but forgot to put it on when I arrived :shakehead:

Saw great cars all which I wanted :mmm:

That camaro that was running on the track around 10 sounded ssssoooo good

Jeff's M5 sounds amazing. The vids don't do it justice at all. Was quite funny when said that he's neighbors would come out early morning to see what's going on when he starts it up :)

Naturally that 635CSI was just out of this world with it's 48k on the clock. And it's a manual too which is even more rare. Was lucky to be around when the owner opened the bonnet. The engine bay looked like BMW just finished fitting all the parts :thumb:

Was also great seeing everyone again. Had some nice chats with quite a few guys :thumb:

One thing though... why do people touch other people cars so much? While looking at the mat 6 series....
bmw-festival-2012-10.jpg

... there was a guy rubbing and knocking the body. All I could figure was that he was trying to see what material it is. Must have thought it was carbon fiber or something :dunno:
And who saw that big smudge on the black 635CSI's driver side window?? Looked like someone pressed his face against it and actually drool on it :shakehead:

Sadly there will always be people touching your car, but some of it was just a little to much for me. My car had a few prints, but that's OK as long as I don't get someone actually drooling on it like they did on the 635CSI.

Was still a great day out and looking forward to next year :thumb:

Yup. Epic day! Thanks to all involved for organising. I personally had a very exciting day. First time on the track at Killarney with the Scheiße-boxen. It was a blast! Screeching oversteer most of the time, but the old girl hung in there. Great to have gotten a feel for the track and the car in stock mode, which can only help in comparing progress with the mods we have in mind. Guys, thanks for all the support, advice and good company on the day. I had an awesome time and learned a shed-load! it was a real bonus to see so many E36 track cars there, which has helped me in formulating a much better idea of what can be done. This was my first time on a track and the moments leading up to the session was a wierd mix of excitement and terror, but once out there and settling in, it quickly turned into some of the most fun I have ever had! Will upload the few pics I took soon. Now the long wait till the next event...
