BMW F30 Decat

Good day

I was advised that to ensure a longevity of my vehicle (A BMW F30 320i), that I should look at either fitting a Down Pipe, or having the cat converter removed. Apparently this will put less strain on the Turbo.

Doing a DP would be a bit pricey, I estimate around R4K plus, and just having the cat removed, would probably be under R1k and I would need to add in a sensor fooler or something to that effect, so the computer does not throw out any errors.

I was thinking of doing the cat remover only for now, and at a later stage look into a DP.

Any ideas or thoughts or experiences by others in this regards? Also, any advice on where to get the decat done in the South of JHB area?

Thanks

This is what your OEM cat looks like more or less

you could do a cheap downpipe and knock out the cat material in the middle and refit the downpipe back to the car with a minitcat/cat fooler so as not to throw any lights.

Alternatively the downpipe for this car:

We can provide you with a downpipe if you prefer to go that route
Pm me if interested

You could do the dp and sell your cat. I'm not sure of the contents of a 320i dp but I know of someone who buys them for a not so bad amount. You would need some numbers off the cat to know how much you can get. Pm me if interested.
