So no drivetrain loss from flywheel to wheels?

Or BMW just understates on their spec sheets? :tiptoe:

,but that's a conversation reserved for the Honda forum...Rxi is an impressive lil bugger at the coast, t/c on the bmw may have distorted the outcome a bit in the end tho

Slightly off topic, but yesterday I tried to keep up with a Golf 7 GTI with my 320d, but it wasn't even remotely close, the Golf left me very far behind... But with 162kw and less weight I guess to be expected and the diesel's gearing is very short...

You say this was at the coast, and that the 20v has a pipe, so not 100% stock either
Not sure why you are surprised, as it SHOULD be ahead until at least 160kmh, simply due to the fact that it maybe has like 10kw's less but weighs like 400kg less !
Never underestimate the difference weight makes. Even if it was dead stock, at sea level, should be a very close race
If it's any consolation, at Gauteng altitude you will destroy a dead stock 20v

I Put it on the dyno to test whether the racechip works.

Turns out the best it did WITHOUT racechip was 124kw .

RC didnt work on my 320i

Flywheel to engine is about 15% so we looking at around 142kw on the engine which is just 7kw more than the spec. (bmw underrated it)

Hopefully will put the jb4 plug n play and run it again

Just for comparison for yourself my 320 with jb stage 1 and on 95 pump made 148wkw and 320nm at FRnR dyno in centurion.

This is ewg spec of course.

Driver skill counts tons. F30 330d plus the mppk and I got my ass handed to me by a new fiesta st. Thinking I would be dishing out the hiding.

Reason I was just turning the traction light on solid.

nice stock power. i will be putting the jb1 on my car this weekend and will dyno on pump fuel. will try do a stock run first. will post results

i bought a jb unit from m3_devil. its the stage 1 and not the jb4 unit. car is in for service tomorrow so will install unit on saturday. if you in durbs i can meet you and you can see the difference.
