BMW E90 grinding noise under acceleration

Hi Guys

Hoping for some advice as to what the problem could be.

My car has picked up a slight grinding noise when accelerating. The noise disappears when the clutch is pressed in or the car is coasting in neutral.

What could this be? There's no loss of power, clutch is not slipping, takes into every gear well and no weird diff noise, i'm leaning towards the centre bearing.

Anyone had this problem before?

Have no idea! Hope you can find out what it is and get it sorted out! Centre bearing or giubos maybe...

Maybe a bearing in the 'box. If it was the centre bearing on the propshaft, the noise should be there all the time.:dunno:

Could be. I know my brake discs in the front are shot. If it is a bearing in the gearbox would it still take into every gear smoothly?
