Wanted to know what is a good reliable place for doing Front Brakes and Discs for E90 LCI?

Im in CPT and Dealers saying its R7k?

I did my back brakes few months ago, it took me an hour, the next time it will probably take less than 40min.

In your original post you specifically asked for brakes and disks (we assume that brakes=pads)

You dont necessarily need to replace disks when you replace the pads. Inspect the disks to determine condition, and make a judgement call.

If they are still in a good condition, replace pads, plus brake sensor only.

You can buy pads from BMW (if you are looking for OEM), Goldwagen or Midas. I recommend you do a search on the forum, different brands of pads have been discussed at length.

The thickness is one thing to look out for. Also check that the disks are not warped or have granulations on them. An easy way to tell if all is fine is to check if there is no vibration under braking.

Unfortunately i dont have a jack for the car. So gotta take it in. Ive seen the videos and if i had a jack i would do it myself. Its like changing a wheel.

You can get a jack and wheel spanner from Midas for less than R300.

Im going to change the discs and pads on the 323i on Sunday, it looks so simple.

Ok so in the end. Booked the car in for pads and oil service at smg Century city. They have the apecial on service so doing that as well. All in for R3700

Its only Pads, They want an extra R3k+ for discs. But I had a look and dont need to add discs because its above the minimum spec when replacing pads.

Did the brakes on the wifes 323i yesterday.

Its so easy. Took under an hour, the first one took around 25mins cause it was the first attempt, the other side was about 15mins.

You just need the right tools for the job.

Trolley jack
Wheel spanner
6mm allen key
7mm allen key
18mm socket (if i remember correctly)
Ratchet
G clamp
