BMW E90 320d erratic idling(hunting)

Hi guys. My BM has been hunting for a while now. At idling as well as while driving. Even on the open road, trying to keep my speed, it hunts. It is not a pleasure anymore to drive the car. Any...any help would be appreciated. Please help me to resolve the problem. Tnx

I think its safe to say that you shouldn't drive the car, before getting it looked at? :smashScreen:

Get a diagnostic done ASAP.

I had a diagnostic done. Although not by an approved BMW agent, the same diagnostic programme was used. Opinions on the outcome of the test differs from mechanic to mechanic. From some wanting to replace sensors to others wanting to open the engine to work on the Vanos system. I DON'T want to pay other peoples school fees quessing what the problem might be.

Hi..just some feedback on my BM's hunting problem. Although I was worried as no one reacted on my question about the erratic idling on my E90 320D, I took the vehicle to Zambesi BMW. The problem was a sensor on the fuel pressure system. Replacing the sensor cured months of worries and discomfort in driving my BM. I'm starting to restoring my faith in my best drive yet.
