hi all,

been searching all over the forum for the what brakes to buy. Found a few threads with great valid points, and prices too. Although some were a few years back, so decided to phone around and see what the different brands go for and thought I'll share in case anyone is also in the need.

Looking for Front Discs + Pads.

BMW
R4,671.00

Goldwagen-Febi
R2,125.00

Midas-ATE
R2,600.00

Textar
waited for about 10 min for a quote and then the guy says they only stock 316i and 318d for E90's :hammerhead:
anyway, he says he will get back to me so i will update.

From the forum's point of you, it looks like ATE are the best way to go.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback or suggestions though :ty:

I used textar pads with OEM discs on my 320d....very impressed.

Gert from OBD Worx can supply Textar pads or also Meyle Pads & discs which are highly recommended

Just be critical if you get ATE. I have been noticing a trend lately where thir products have become suspect (not quite to spec / squealing / warping)

Check the price of Powerbrake matched size replacement disc and pads.

Thanks Arbee

Powerbrake:

Pads: R1,526.46
Discs: R3003.90
TOTAL:R4,530.36

A tad steep, but im sure there must be a massive improvement.
