BMW E60 530d

Hi Chaps,

I am looking to buy one of these monsters but would like to know what to look out for when purchasing these second hand.

Most of the cars I am looking at are 06 / 07, some 05 and have > 120k km.

I read somewhere about a facelift and an M model, what are the differences?

lots of info on the net and some on here as well, quick recap

facelift (lci) introduced in 07 which included minor changes to interior and exterior lights(leds). I am led to believe the 530d motor was the 173kw version, but i think BMW detuned them to 160kw.
m model refers to the m sport kit which includes different bumpers, side skirt, optional boot spoiler. there is also the msport steering, interior sills and the shadow trim around the windows.
