BMW E46 high idle after software?

I have just put software on my car and as soon as I started it after the map was put on. It is now idling around 1000rpm not 600 anymore.

Anyone have an explantion for this?

Ive done software before and this has never happened.

Is it a petrol or diesel model?

I know when it is cold it will run at 1000rpm and then after a few minutes will go down to 600rpm. Did you run it for a few minutes to see if the idling changes? Maybe disconnect the battery for 15min just to reset the ecu' s :tiptoe:

Still no change.... Took the battery out for 15-20 mins

Sounds like its a Tps issue? Its possible that the software has changed the tps position on the car at idle if that makes sense. What does your tuner say? Did you get the codes read on the car?
