BMW E46 330i Ignition Feedback Resistor (ZSR)

Got some funny codes on a BMW PA Soft Scanner 1.4.0 , one of them is pointing to Ignition Feedback Resistor (ZSR) ...any ideas where this is located on an E46 .

Car runs fine no "check engine" lights and according to this codes the car should not even be running . Starts fine and runs all the way to 6000 Rpm no hiccups.

1D/64 - Ignition activation, cylinder 1, no ignition spark
1F/64 - Ignition activation, cylinder 5, no ignition spark
1E/64 - Ignition activation, cylinder 3, no ignition spark
D2/68 - Ignition current measurement, fault at more than 2 cylinders
03/64 - Ignition activation, cylinder 6, no ignition spark
01/64 - Ignition activation, cylinder 2, no ignition spark
02/64 - Ignition activation, cylinder 4, no ignition spark

Would have thought the same if it wast for the

D2/68 - Ignition current measurement, fault at more than 2 cylinders ( 210 Ignition Feedback Resistor (ZSR)) accompanied by the rest of the codes. Will change the plugs and check the coils as a matter of elimination just in case ..thanks!!

Clear the codes, take the car for a short drive and see if they come back. Only then would I start replacing parts.

Yep, clear the codes and run the car for a few days, then check again. The fact that there are no performance issues is already a good sign. When last were the plugs changed?

OK so after getting my INPA to work ,I tackled this again . got this codes below. note the 210 ZSR Error (>2 Cyl.) error . It looks like the Feedback resistor line is broken or not getting signal or something . Happens at 1200rpm every time ....

Funny thing is car goes like a rocket no idle issues no starting issues , revs under load to 6000rpm etc etc ....



Your thoughts old wise ones ?
