Ok... Maybe we can get some bolts to run through the welded L shaped braces. I shall have a look see.

you drill from the bottom where the sub-frame mount right into the boot with a Loooong drill bit im not sure it will line up with the L pieces you will have to see where it comes out

the thread bar then replaces the original pins for the subframe mounts

Hey guys

Revival time....
I think I have some sub-frame issues as well. Can any of you comment on whether this could present in something like the bolts on the engine mounts coming loose? This happened recently on my car and I had them fastened again, after which the car seemed fine for a week or two, when the problems returned.

Mainly, I have a powerloss issue that feels like it's related to the weight shifting on the chassis. (This is what led me to the engine mounts, after I checked the gearbox mounts). I also have a creaking / squeaking from the rear and after a bad dirt road this weekend the rear feels seriously loose.

I am going to get the car in the air to have a look ASAP, just thought you guys might have some insights for me in the meantime?

I thank you in advance for any advice, I appreciate it.

Lift the car, have a look. You will definately see if there is a crack or not. Also check your diff and rear shocks frame bushes

Will do, thank you. First thing tomorrow. If any bushings need replacing, I think it's best to do it properly and fit the Powerflex ones.

Jip. Just give moranor a shout

I was very lucky it seems. No subframe damage and no worn bushings. Only a bit dried out. I did have a some loose bolts on the rear shock mounting though, so we fastened those, checked the others, lubed all the bushings and then did the allignment.

Seems all is well again so I'm very relieved, but I might still do the powerflex bushings at some point.

Cheers gents
