Hi Guys

I was just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced this as well.

I have a 330ci with an auto box. The issue is that it seems as if it struggles to change into a higher gear.

Thanks

My suggestion is take it to sparklight gearboxes immediately (or any reputable auto gearbox specialist of your choosing, though I recommend sparklight). They will know what is wrong, how to fix it and how much it will cost. Auto gearbox problems do not fix themselves, and by the time they are noticeable, its usually too late.

What's your current mileage and has your gearbox oil ever been changed?

BMW Mechanics know nothing about gearboxes, they are just fitters. Don't waste your time there. Take it to a specialist directly.

Your mileage is not too high, but year model is old - the oil in your box is now 10 years old. If your car only went to BMW, then they did not replace the gearbox oil. I would go to an independent BMW/gearbox specialist as stated by P1000.

lol, so very very true that..

They only know how to replace the entire thing once it breaks completely. They have no clue on how to maintain them so that it does NOT break.

Replace your gearbox oil and filter. Usually when an Auto does not whant to shift into a higher gear then the filter is clogged and oil is old. Recently had 3 auto cars a toyota, mercedes and Kia that would not shift to a higher gear or does not go into top gear. All I did is replace the filter and oil and problem solved. No oil is Life time and the recomended oil change for gearbox and diff is 80 to 100k.
