This weekend my wife drove with a semi flat rear wheel, completely ruining the sidewall. So I had to buy 4 new tyres. On fitment, the dude tells me that my lower control arm bushings are shot. (And I know, the car wants new shocks soon.)

Add to that the fact that I will have to recon the engine, and you find me begging for money at the IDFL bank. In debt for life!

And I cant sell the piece of scrap metal.. loaned the cash from my old man to buy it 6 months ago.

Oh happy day!! NOT.

That's my rant for the day. Thanks for hacking your thread Bimmerman.

Dude, I still say that the Bosch guys are mechanics, not welders! Take it to welders! These okes can weld two pieces of tin foil together, I swear, I've seen it! They treat the metal where there are stress fractures and will replace pieces of plate, where it is too cracked to weld. I'm convinced that you'll come away cheaper than a 2nd hand tank.

Hi Wynand

Bosch are not doing the repair themselves...they are sending it away to a place that does all the tank repairs. These guys have said that they cannot repair it and it will fail again if they try...
