the e36 manual says 15w40 for our climate.

oils have come a long way since the manual was written 15w is very rubbish startup protection a 5w40 will protect way better on startup and protect the same when the engine is warm and running hard

i spoke to BMW agents yesterday and they say i must use 5W30 fully sinthetic oil. BMW and Midas only sell it in 1Litres for R100 per litre. do you guys agree with this.

Hi guys,

I don't think that's a bad price.
Took my e36 in for an oil change at SMG Durban and was pleasantly surprised by the bill > R861.00 all inclusive!
