bmw e36 323i m52 inlet manifold

Just need to do some homework and see what comments i get.

Im driving a e36 323i m52, and i bought a 325 m50 inlet manifold.

Has someone done this conversion before? And what was your results?

Do i need to change the throttle body & outlet manifold or can i just swop the intake manifold and feel the difference?

I've heard people say after the conversion i need to remapp the computer or put a chip in? Is this true?

I did the Inlet Manifold swap, Outlet Manifold, Exhaust, Throttle Body & Uni-chip on my E36 328iM.

I doubt whether it is worth the effort on 323 - unless you want to gain the experience.

I've always wanted a e36 or e30.

When i bought it i was a bit dissapointed that it's a 323 and not a 325. But people are mad when it comes to 325 as this was & still is the best to buy, okay and 325 is iconic.

So at the moment the 323 is all ive got. After driving it for a few months ive grown bored at how slow it is.

But I heard the 325 &323 is the same thing, the 323 is only restricted & 325 is not restricted. So in other words if I get most of the components of a 325 and m3 cams it will be A LOT better than it is now?raise:

I think the diff is still the original. Havent checked It yet

323 has the same engine capacity as 325 (as far as I know).
I am sure you would feel a difference if you can get the cams done and the M50 intake with a chip vs the price of a 325/328.
I would however look out for an M3 branch or complete exhaust, really made a difference on my 328 many years ago. As for the intake manifold swap, I learnt the hard way. The video posted is good but also search for M50 intake swap and you see the kits that are sold in the USA to get an idea of what you need before stripping.
