Hello All,

My name is Riyaad.

I recently purchased a BMW e36 318i Motorsport.

She has the e36 M3 rims on.

I would just like to know a couple of things:

1. The temperature gauge went to red this morning after sitting in stop/start traffic for less than 1 hour. It would only cool down when I actually drove and got some air in the radiator. Is this normal? The fan does work, and in no traffic the car never overheats.

2. I unscrewed the bleeder screw next to the radiator cap, however it doesnt seem to screw in properly. It doesnt fit flush on the surface, however it feels very secure when trying to pull it out. When I try to turn it more, it just turns. Is this safe or would I need to replace it urgently?

I'm not the most clued up with BMW's yet, but hopefully I will be with all you guys assistance.

Thank you in advance!
(Will post pictures when I'm not at work)

A few easy checks:

1. Confirm if the electric fan is working. Put the AC on and see if the fan comes one. If not, check the fuse.

2. Check the threads on the bleeder screw, it could be damaged.
