Bmw e30 project car - Guidance needed

Hi guys,

I want to build a performance toy with turbo setup on the e30 platform.

I have seen my first step being purchasing the chassis/shell. For the exterior styling i want to modify the car to look like a 325is.

I need some guidance on which year & model to be looking for.

88-92 3 Series coupe if you wanna make it look like an iS. Manual would be best... Look for a clean 316i or 318i and then do the Engine swap and turbo.

Also make sure to get a plastic bumper and not a crome bumper as the crome bumper will be harder to get the m technic kit fitted and looking like a 325is.

The chrome bumper also has thinner taillights compared to the plastic bumper that is aso key in giving the "IS" look

This is my 318i, you best bet is the 316i 2 door since majority of the 318i's came as a 4 door (2 door 318i's are 318is's with the m42 motor as a standard)
