BMW driving style.

On the note about taxis. It was really hot the other day so I assume everyone was heading off to camps bay/ clifton beach. Going up Kloof Neck I think the road is where the turn off to signal hill and table mountain are. The double lane going up was bumper to bumper moving really slowly. No problem for the taxi, he hooks it out onto the oncoming traffic and I saw him 500ms behind me doing it. And cruises up the entire hill on the oncoming traffic with a blind corner coming up. If a car was doing the legal speed limit 60 going around the corner he would of had a headon collision as they wouldnt of seen him with the traffic. While he was driving past my window I shouted what a P035 he is. But this type of driving is disgusting. I should have keyed his entire POS taxi as he drove past.

imagine witnessing all these with your entire family on board? :nonono:

When the car looks fast, you never need to prove anything.
You'll always find me on the slow lane with occasional overtaking on the right .

No need to drive like an a...SS ,BMW or any other brand for that matter

The BMW is a driver orientated car... A BMW is not just a means to get from A to B... Its about the journey and the relationship you have with the car... This is where lots of manufacturers are getting it quite wrong :fencelook:

To my BM brethren and Sizta's:rollsmile:

I will agree to the whole notion stated above and the minute you behind that wheel all you want to do is "foot-in-hoek" I mean who doesn't. But its become common to associate bad and reckless driving with BMW owners.

Last week Sunday i felt the exact same way towards BMW drivers yet i was driving one as well! After a 2hr de-stress session valeting my E30(weekend car) I decided to take the wife and boys for a nice cruise through town... Not even having gone more than 10km's out of my area cruising at about 80kms (in the slow lane!) I notice in my rearveiw that this jerk@ff comes flying towards us... i warn the wife and boys and slowed down as i can see that the shizzniss is about to hit the fan. The prob was that the traffic in the fast lane was flowing at a reasonable rate but was bumper to bumper and by the time he got next to me there was no time to break and no where to go... So he politely forced his way over forcing me to swerve off in the the yellow lane, tires screeching! And he never even flinched or put on hazards in apology!:nonono:

None the less - i don't mind the speed and all but recklessness :thumbdo:

Sorry if Im winning just had to put in my 2c

if they jerk@ff had been driving an audi or other car, you wouldnt have even given it a second thought. you also wouldnt have posted this post.

kinda like the media nowadays. if there is a transgression on the road, they only mention the make of the car if its a bmw.

i am on the road all day long, and let me tell you, a jerk is a jerk. he doesnt need to be in a bmw before i label him this. and no way are the majority of arrogant drivers bmw owners. its a misconception probably started out of jealousy :dunno: whatever the case, the generalization that the majority of bmw drivers are jerks is unfair.

Dude, of course i would give a second thought - my family was in the car...

Well no generalization was made that the majority of bmw drivers are jerks (please read properly) - i only referred to the driver on that day - and all this was my experience on that day nothing else

And whether he was driving an Audi or anything else - dont give a fudge coz im a BMWFanatic and represent the brand and would rather be seen as a responsible driver than a reckless one

But we are all entitled to our own opinions so thanks for you input

IN a Nut shell with ought starting a war.

What i was trying to say is that For some strange reason when driving a BMW it gives you that Sports feeling. Something about it.

Maybee that's why some BMW drivers have made the rest look bad with reckless driving.
