BMW dealership obligations towards customer

Great news!

The toebar is now not even electronic so it can be more reliable but I would say to them that it was a feature of the car upon whence you decided to make the purchase and thus I would require a goodwill gesture in some form or another for giving you a lesser product.

I offer my congratulations on winning against the big coprate machine!

Right, the episode has not yet finished.

Whilst sorting out the other things on my car some weeks ago I mentioned to my them that my car radio sent an "interference" sound (like a whining sound) through the speakers. This has been coming and going ever since I took delivery of the car.

The sales person was informed. Upon receiving my car back from the other repair works, a mechanic in the workshop told me that he is aware of the sound, but could not fix it himself and he has to remove the radio and send it away for repairs.

A week ago the sales person sends me a WhatsApp reassuring me that she had not forgotten about the issue and that she would revert back to me the next day. This was last week Tuesday.

Ever since then I have not heard anything from her and my emails/WhatsApp messages are being ignored.

Will the clued up fanatics please advise me as to where to go with this matter.

Thanks in advance.

With a bit of effort and persistence I managed to get a hold of the only semi-competent person at the dealership, so they are now doing me a "favour" by having the radio repaired.

My family and I will not buy as much as coolant from this dealership in the future, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know.

Come now Ferdi, you are still getting terrible service from this so-called dealership, it's time you let the rest of us know what dealership to avoid. You owe it to the fanatics community.

There is no point continuing with this thread if you not willing to disclose which dealership is giving you bad service.

It is in the best interests of the Fanatics for you to disclose so no one else had to suffer the same misfortune as you.

If you not willing to, then rather keep your comments to yourself instead of stringing our members along!

Wow, that's a little harsh there Yuben?

If I was Ferdi, I wouldn't disclose who the dealership was till all the issues on the car was sorted out.

I agree with the above statements regarding me stringing you guys along to some extent and I apologize for that.

The dealership involved is Leo Haese Centurion.

Over the past 10 years my family has owned nearly 20 BMW's with most of them being purchased through Zambezi Auto. The salesperson on the day of taking delivery of my car said that she hopes they could get some of our business now seeing as they are down the road from us. We all know what the answer to that is.

That a chill pill Yuben.

OH why am I not surprised, regarding the guilty dealership.

I used to service and take my car to Fountains, yet I bought it at Leo Haese Centurion, after my ordeal there. http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=32207
They some times needed two cars to drop Centurion customers off. The guys I spoke to all had bad experiences at Leo Haese Centurion, and chose to travel to Fountains.

Honestly there is one very good oke at Leo Haese Centurion, and I regard him as a friend, but the rest of that dealership is rotten to the core. The JZ of BMW dealerships.
