BMW approved repair centre

Can anybody please recommend a good one?

Visited two to get quotes and their lack of enthusiasm was a little off putting to say the least. But the list of centres around JHB is pretty short considering anybody with motorplan/warranty has to use them.

One guy said it may take 3 weeks or 3 months!!! (yes I know an F21 M-sport might not be the most common bmw, but seriously?) or 2 days to get parts. So I'd like to hand my car over to a crowd that is a little more on the ball so I can get my baby repaired properly and as quickly as possible.

Still waiting for quotes to come through to see what they reckon needs replacing. PDC still works fine, I think the LHS headlight is fine, as are the foglights, no damage to radiator/intercooler but there are various brackets and strengtheners that all need replacing behind the bumper. New bonnet or just repair that dent? (do they still actually repair body panels?)



Guess we could also play guess the $$. I'm taking a stab at R40k but I really have no idea at this point as I haven't received any quotes yet.

Insane is it not.

You do not repair that bonnet, it is aluminum, BMW under motorplan does not allow body filler, that bonnet will require filler.

R20k for a bumper is... wow. Would take my guesstimate up to at least R50k then. You didn't mention a headlight... R10k?

Just got mine back. same model.
Took all in all 5 weeks with parts ordered from Germany.
