Hello All,
I recently purchased 2013 520i, very clean but what I thought is quick fix is turning into nightmare.
Issues - hot start, cranks longer than it should and it take 5 to 10 seconds to settle. Cold start is aways fine.
On take off, it almost stalls, then it picks up and there are no issues once it's going.
Aux fan runs on high most of the time but it does go through different revs - so ramping up and down works.
Car is with the dealer - so far they have replaced water pump, thermostat, oil temperature sensor, checked coils, plugs and compression. Fuel pressure is fine, no faults but car is running rich. They have removed injectors, found them NOT to have a leak but they want to replace them with new ones.
I have checked MAF sensor, it lools like new, no contamination whatsoever (and it's not flagging any errors).
So...where do we go from here - I'm thinking that fan running all the time may have to do with rich mixture, they want to replace injectors and if that's not the problem, we leave them there and keep on looking at other stuff (basically replace things). Any ideas or perhaps you can point to someone who can do better than just replace parts ?
Thank you,
Alex
